There’s an old expression; “Where there is a will there is a way”, such an empowering phase but is it true? Does it tell the whole story? does not a way exist whether there is a will or not? Does not will need to be accompanied by something else in order to encounter this “way”? Let’s examine what exactly “will” is shall we? Will is described as a choice, desire, willingness, or consent. It’s used to express determination, insistence, persistence, or willfulness.

However, how many people have a desire to be rich? How many athletes have had the determination or persistence to obtain a major league platform? I’m sure there have been millions! Sure, there are a lot of variables that one must consider in regards to becoming a professional athlete, but let’s look at it from a practical point of view and perhaps a goal that requires more “will” than statistics, timing, and specialized blessings (some call luck). Where there is a will there is most certainly a way, but where there is a will to find a way there must be more. How much research are you doing? how much studying are you doing on your desired field of interest? networking or building relationships with others that may know more than you? Have you formulated a plan? tested the plan? edited the plan? implemented the plan again?

Where there is a will there is most certainly a way, but where there is a will to find a way there must be more“.

Perhaps you have the will, and you have found a way, have you made sure it’s the RIGHT way? Knowing whether or not it’s the “best way” will come with time and wisdom, therefore don’t focus on whether you made the “best” decision over the right decision. If you’re still struggling with the “will” to get going, perhaps it’s not the right time or target that your determination desires. One must ask themselves; “what is it that ignites my heart, so much so, that just the thought of it seems overwhelming or impossible?” spend some time there because that feeling of impossibility might be the enemy attempting to put out your fire before its even ablaze.
