I don’t know if you’re aware of this but the majority of Americans overeat! There’s this little box on the back of 99% of the food products you purchase that displays a “serving size”. This serving size is the recommended amount of food one needs to maintain a healthy diet. Take a moment to actually analyze and examine your consumption on a daily basis.

You would probably observe where you too overindulge. I get it, the food is delicious, and it’s enjoyable! it’s one of the few things that you actually need to survive that can also kill you if it is not used correctly. It’s important to at least know where the line in the sand is drawn. That importance shows us how much we need vs how much we want; I’ll share why.

  I believe that God equips us with everything that we need to fulfill our purpose in life. However, God doesn’t provide us with everything that we “want” in life. So, we end up filling our plate up with our wants while we also have a plate of nutrients God gave us that we need. Now we’re stuck looking at this plateful of stuff and wondering how we’re going to consume it!

We even look to God for assistance but in most cases, God didn’t put all that on our plate in the first place! Therefore you need to know the difference between what’s needed to be done in your life vs what has to be done. Otherwise, you risk running into all types of issues. Issues that impact your health mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically as well. The key is to recognize the serving size God has given you and then see how much room you have leftover afterward! All serving sizes may be different depending on your size and fitness goals. The same rules apply to your purpose as well.
