Last week I spent some time getting off of the grid to complete my new book. I felt I needed some time in isolation and quiet in order to fuel my mind’s creative fire. I’ll often take time away for myself in order to reset, recharge, and regroup, but it was one of the first times I have been able to do so since being married. One thing that I appreciate about my wife is her encouragement of my creative solitude. She is aware and supportive of the idea of taking time to be alone in order to water what’s inside of me, because ultimately it allows both of us to not only remain mentally, emotionally & spiritually healthy, but it also allows us to flourish and grow together.
“When do take time to be with yourself in order to strengthen not only yourself but those around you? “
