Picture This: You’re in a rowboat and you’re trying to get to the shore. You have been paddling & paddling and fatigue is setting in with every row. As you finally arrive at the coast you hop out and pull your boat out of the water. Did you row your boat to the shore or did the shore come to you?
Sounds somewhat silly I’m sure, for we know we rowed our boat to the shore and it didn’t uproot itself and come closer to us. I think a lot of times we think and desire to pull God closer to our will, versus getting closer to God’s will. For numerous reasons, mankind suffers from a god complex, and the desires, that we pursue conflict with the current of the waters in our life.
