My dad used to always tell me when you feel you’re at your worse, dress your best. One of the reasons I think he used to tell me that, was so when the world saw you they wouldn’t see you were at your worse initially which gives you an even playing field in some regard.
As I think about it now I think it plays a part in your own psyche. Sure the clothes don’t make the person, but perception sure does. Even when we are not at our worse we put things into place to assist our moods. We basically do things to enhance our moods and dressing the part is just another extension. What are you doing now to help you, play the part your currently engaged in? you can’t necessarily do the same thing you did a couple of weeks ago, because today may not reflect that climate of life.
“If I’m feeling my worse in a cold time of life, why would I put on my summers best to approach the problem?”.
How can you improve your mental dress code if your mind is at its worse? Sometimes we have to dress the part before we have the part. The same applies to any “faith warriors” who think that just applies to the mind. Your faith may be the size of a mustard seed, but your leap of faith you’re seeking is the size of a mountain. If I’m feeling my worse in a cold time of life, why would I put on my summers best to approach the problem? Don’t just take the days as they are given to you, without giving something back to remember you by!
